Anna's story in photographs...

 Isaac's 1st birthday - March 21, 2011
(We guess Anna was conceived around this time.)

[Found out we were expecting on April 18, 2011
after an MRI checking for something else.
She's a miracle baby!]

Almost 19 weeks - July 16, 2011

[Found out "It's a girl!" and she has possible heart defect on July 26, 2011]

21 weeks, 4 days - August 5, 2011

[Found out Anna did indeed have a serious heart defect on August 12, 2011,
and that she'd have to have at least 3 surgeries within the first few years of her life.
They called it Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).]

6 months along - August 23, 2011

7th Anniversary - September 4, 2011

Sweet Isaac - September 6, 2011

[On September 9, 2011, further tests showed Anna's heart defect was more serious than the doctors first thought. Dr. said she didn't have much chance of survival after birth due to the complicated structure of her veins not going to her heart from the lungs, plus one vein appeared to be obstructed.]

Burfoot Park - September 10, 2011
Had time of prayer for healing with Alissa's parents, grandparents, and friends, Daniel & Catherine Slocum where Anna was anointed with oil (through mama's belly button).
7 months along

We got to spend a weekend in Leavenworth, WA mid Sept. We decided on baby's name while there, and had many encounters with other believers who encouraged us and committed to pray for us and Anna Joy.
My work friends (Art 'n Soul - Fine Art Stamps) threw a baby shower

December 3, 2001 - at the hotel, waiting for Anna's arrival

Anny Joy arrived at 9:36am on December 8, 2011
at the University of Washington Medical Center.
She was pink and breathed on her own for a while!

We got to love on her for a little bit!
We didn't know if she would live past her birthday...

Daddy stayed as close as possible for as long as possible.
