More pics

These are from Sunday afternoon, December 11.

My dad, Randy (Papa), with Isaac and my niece, Alivia.

Heading to meet Anna.

Isaac touching Anna's hand.

So much I want to say and sing to her - but often tears get in the way.

I love her soft skin and dark hair.

Sometimes she grips our fingers and fans her toes when we touch them!

Our little beauty. Sometimes she sucks on the tube.

Daddy's hand.

No words...

  2. Being a new mom, I'm overwhelmed at these photos, but know our Jesus is in control. Another girl I know had a baby at 26 weeks. They recorded their voice for him when they couldn't be with him, but talked and sung to him when they were. It was physiologically clear that he improved when his parents spoke and touched him. What an amazing gift you have! God bless you and your family. I won't stop praying.

  4. I know that people have said it before, but when I see these pictures, the tubes and things become secondary. I kinda forget they're there. I notice her tiny features like dark hair, pretty lips, and both of her chins. :) Thanks for posting them.

  7. Beautiful baby girl. You are so blessed. I just had my first baby a few months ago and that is one of the sweetest things, to have them grip your finger. We have a large home church meeting at a friends home and we all spent time praying for Anna and you all. May the Lord continue to give you strength and comfort each and every day. And don't feel bad about the tears..... The Lord understands each and every tear, and knows the pain in your heart. We are continually praying and thinking of your family and your precious baby girl.

  10. She is so beautiful. I've been pray for you every day. Today I was praying in tongues and started singing to Brahms lullaby. As I was singing I saw a vision of angel's surrounding Anna singing lullaby's to her. I felt so much love it was overwhelming. I just wanted to let you know that I have people praying for your family. If God can take care of the birds He will take care of Anna.
    With much love,
    Kerry

  11. Lord, I am in awe of Your creation - how You beautifully molded Anna in the palm of Your huge hand - so lovingly, so perfectly, so cherished! Tonight as she rests, work in her body through Divine hands, through doctor's hands, through Your Presence. Heal. Strengthen. Breathe into her Your Life. Talk to her spirit of Your love for her - hold her in the dearest Abba's embrace. And Lord, do the same for her awaiting family. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

  12. Thank you for sharing Anna Joy with us. Your pictures bring back so many memories of when we were at Seattle Children's with our new born son, Logan. He also had HLHS.

  13. Alissa and Matt - Thank you for sharing your words and pictures with us all. Like others that have had a CHD child, these bring back powerful and emotional memories. We at Jamie's Heart Foundation are praying for you and your family during this season of your lives. We pray for little Anna Joy's quick recovery and that she will be coming home soon. Please let us know if we can help in any way. God bless

  15. Dear Matt and Alissa, I have carried your family's story in my heart since I first read about you on the king5 website. We have never met, but I pray for you all, especially little Anna, every day. I have also had a child hooked up to tubes in the NICU, who learned to nurse after weeks of pumping, and is now five and thriving. I will continue to pray for your baby and for your strength, stamina, loving support, and peace while Anna heals. Your family's faith is a great inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your faith and for the beautiful pictures of your precious, beautiful girl. She is truly surrounded by angels. Much love to you!

  18. Abba Father, we pray for your clearing of the fluids from Anna's lungs and for your continued healing. Thank YOU for Anna Joy. Thank You for Matt and Alissa...strengthen them, may they continue to sense Your presence...may Anna Joy sense Your presence...In Jesus name. Amen.

Alissa, you posted you are singing over Anna Joy and I was reminded that your Abba Father sings over YOU! This is for You all..."Do not fear, do not let your hands go limp (grip tight). The Lord Your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, Anna Joy, Alissa, Matt, Isaac, and He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:16& 17

I was also reminded about all the times we have talked about singing our prayers...and how this is such a great tool and "weapon" anyway...Love you so much!
